CHANGLUN, KEDAH

THE PLACE I WAS STUDIED FOR MY FIRST DEGREE. THE DESTINATION WE SPARE ALMOST ALL THE TIME WHEN WE ARE FREE FROM THE CLASS SCHEDULES

Changlun is a main border town in Kedah, Malaysia. It is located in the district of Kubang Pasu, about 42 km north from Alor Star and 8 km near Bukit Kayu Hitam. The word changlun was originated from Thai "ช้างลง" (RTGS: chang long), which means "fallen elephant". The construction of the North-South Expressway passing through Changlun has enabled the town to enjoy smooth development. Besides, the completed Changlun-Kuala Perlis Highway helps speeding the development process of the town as well. With the new federal highway, motorists are able to go to important high educational institutions such as UUM in Sintok, KPM, KMK, KMP, UiTM Arau, UniMAP Arau and Polytechnics of Perlis. Motorists are also advised to use the toll-free federal highway for reach Langkawi via Kuala Perlis faster.

BATU PAHAT, MY KAMPUNG

Batu Pahat, formerly known as Bandar Penggaram, takes its name from a chiselled rock well located at the mouth of Batu Pahat River, near a coastal village of Kampung Minyak Beku. It was believed that the well was dug by fleeing Siamese troops to collect drinking water, after a failed attack on Malacca during the reign of Sultan Muzaffar Shah who ruled from 1446 to 1459.
Batu Pahat was upgraded to a municipality on the 1st of January 2001. As of 2008, it is the 10th largest city in Malaysia, and the 2nd most developed city in the state of Johor. Numerous local and international companies are attracted to set up plants and factories in the area.

Latar Belakang Batu Pahat

Pengenalan

INTRODUCE TO PENGKALA HULU, PERAK MALAYSIA

At least you won’t be scratching your head, wondering if I’m half-mad or pulling a quick one on you !!! (Perak HAS a Thai border?!) :)
